It’s important for every MBA aspirant to know about the types of MBA entrance test. As every MBA entrance exam comes up with a different exam pattern and syllabus, students must be aware of the updated curriculum of every management entrance exam in order to prepare accordingly.
The basic mandatory requirement of B schools in India is usually CAT or GMAT. Overall, there are 6 nationalised tests approved by AICTE (GMAT, CAT, MAT, ATMA, NMAT, XAT and CMAT).
While the CAT, MAT, XAT, IIFT, NMAT, SNAP, etc., are accepted by only the related institution and limited B-schools, GMAT is accepted by a larger range of B-schools across India. By taking the GMAT, a candidate has an advantage of applying to business schools across the globe.
